Getting started

How do I sign up?

Choose your plan on our online sign-up page, enter your details and upload your identity documents. It takes a few minutes. Our team then checks your documents, and once you're approved we'll email your login details for your secure customer portal.

How quickly can I start using my new address?

As soon as we've checked your documents and approved your application. We'll email you straight away with your full address, your customer reference and your portal login details.

Why do you need to check my identity?

Checking who we work with keeps our address trusted and protects every customer. It stops our address being misused for fraud, and it means the post we receive for you really is yours.

What documents do I need to sign up?

You'll need one photo ID and two proofs of address, uploaded securely during sign-up. Accepted photo ID includes a current signed passport, a UK or EEA photocard driving licence, or an EEA/Swiss national identity card. Accepted proof of address includes a utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement. See the full list of accepted documents.

If you use your driving licence as photo ID, you generally can't use it as proof of address too.

Can I sign up if I live outside the UK?

Yes. Our service is ideal for overseas founders running a UK company, and your post is scanned so you can read it wherever you are. You'll upload the same identity documents. If your proofs of address are from outside the UK, contact us before you order.

Addresses & compliance

Can I use your address as my registered office?

Yes. Since 4 March 2024 every company's registered office must be an appropriate address: post sent there must reach someone acting for the company, and deliveries must be able to be acknowledged. That's exactly what we provide. PO boxes are no longer allowed.

What is a director's service address?

It's the address that appears on the public Companies House register for company directors, instead of your home address. Companies House still holds your residential address privately, but it isn't shown publicly.

Does the new Companies House identity verification affect me?

Since 18 November 2025, directors and people with significant control need to verify their identity with Companies House. That's separate from our own checks, and we can point you to the right place to do it.

Can I use the address on my website, invoices and Google?

On the Business Address and Virtual Office plans you can use it as your trading address on your website, invoices and letterhead. Google's own rules generally don't allow virtual office addresses on a Google Business Profile unless the location is staffed during business hours, so check their guidelines first.

Mail handling

How does mail scanning work?

When a letter arrives we log it, scan the envelope and contents, and upload a high-resolution PDF to your secure dashboard. You'll get an email alert straight away. Scanning happens same working day.

Can you forward my post to me?

Yes, to any address in the UK or worldwide. Choose forwarding on request, or set a regular schedule. You pay Royal Mail postage plus a small handling fee.

Do you accept parcels?

Parcel and courier reception is included on the Virtual Office plan, and available as a pay-per-item extra on other plans. We'll email you when a parcel arrives. Then, from your customer portal, you can have it forwarded to you or book a time to collect it from our reception.

How do I see my post?

Log in to your secure customer portal. Every letter we receive for you appears there with a scanned copy you can read or download. From the portal you can also request originals, arrange parcel forwarding or book a parcel collection.

What happens to the original letters?

After scanning we keep originals securely for 30 days. In that time you can have them forwarded, collected or securely shredded.

Billing & account

Is there a minimum contract?

Monthly plans roll month to month and you can cancel any time. Annual plans are paid upfront and give you two months free.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade from your dashboard at any time. Changes take effect from your next billing date.

What happens if I cancel?

You'll need to update your address with Companies House, HMRC and anyone else who uses it before your service ends. We'll remind you, and forward any final post during your notice period.
